gibson girls
The Gibson Girl started appearing in photos and advertisements in the 1920s. Gibson girls only show 10% of their bodies. These women believed it was better to be covered up in their clothing, unlike the flappers. They had accented S shaped bodies and a 'waterfall' of curls down their backs. The Gibson Girls did not smoke and had an uplifting self confidence. Their main focus was on the body figure and their hair.
