Women's rights
The 19th Amendment extended rights of suffrage to women. They were also given the right to vote equally in 1920. By 1923, Congress passed The Equal Rights Amendment which gave men and women equal rights throughout the United States. Mothers were able to become a joint guardian. By the end of the decade, women represented local, state and national political committees.
