expectations of women in the 1920s
Women were expected not to work outside their homes at the beginning of the 1920s. Jobs as nurses in the military and even some office jobs became opportunities for women to participate in. Society expected women to partake in social life which consisted of new fashion, trends, products and sexier image. Men of the household thought women should do one thing at a time and never make error while taking on a dozen duties at once.
