flappers
Flapper was not caged or sculpted, it was free and independent. It was a way for women to be outspoken and feel as if they were a "new breed" of women. A flapper was everything the Gibson Girl was not. The typical look of a flapper included a bobbed hair cut, short skirts or flashy dresses and they socialized by smoking and drinking. Flappers loved going to parties and dancing, which made them extremely identifiable.
